Altyor wants to become a ‘mission-driven company’
Altyor has taken the step of transforming itself into a mission-driven company in order to include its eco-responsible values in its statutes. This transformation has strong implications and a strong ambition: design and manufacture our customers’ products in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable way.
“Becoming a ‘mission-driven company’ is a turning point for Altyor, certainly very surprising and daring for our sector, but ultimately very natural given our convictions.”
Yanis Cottard, President of Altyor
What is a mission-driven company?
A mission-driven company is a business company that has a statutory purpose and integrates the consideration of social, societal and environmental impacts. Moreover, a mission-driven company aims to achieve a broader objective of general interest, than just the pursuit of the economic sustainability of the company.
The mission committee
The mission committee is a ‘supervisory’ body that ensures that the mission is carried out properly. It is made up of Altyormates but also of external actors bringing their expertise who will evaluate our action plans and results.
The pillars of our mission-driven company
Responsibility: We want to eco-design and manufacture sustainable products with a circular economy strategy, with the aim of minimising our carbon impact.
Contribution: For Altyor, becoming a mission-driven company means changing our approach to the market and why not our business model. The question for each project will be: What is the meaning of the project?
Exemplarity: Our ultimate objective in becoming amission-driven company is to create a responsible industrial movement: Inspire – Federate – Train
Fulfilment: This means enabling each Altyormate to fulfil his or her mission at Altyor with an inclusive policy.
What does this mean?
Within our business, becoming a mission-driven company will enable us to go even further. Eco-design, the use of recycled materials, and the end-of-life of products are all subjects that are already well established at Altyor. This transformation will include these actions in greater depth and multiply them. In addition, it will involve all of Altyor’s departments: responsible purchasing, audits of our subcontractors using mission-driven company criteria, selective choice of projects on which we wish to work, responsible logistics, and inclusive human resources.
What do our Altyormates think?
