Charging station for disposable alkaline batteries

Test, recharge and return your alkaline batteries at a 3-in-1 station

Regenbox is a French company founded in 2020, specialising in the regeneration of alkaline batteries. To achieve this, the company draws on a patent filed in the 1980s by Karl Kodesh, who discovered how to recharge non-rechargeable batteries using a system of micro-electric pulses. The project stems directly from the Atelier21 programme known as Paléo-énergétique. It aims to unearth energy innovations from the past and forgotten patents, and to trace a counter-history of renewable energy in order to meet the challenges of the present. Regenbox’s mission is therefore to drastically reduce the amount of waste produced by alkaline batteries by giving them multiple lives through regeneration.

And so the RegenStation was born: a charging station for alkaline batteries located in shops, businesses and local authorities. This customisable and user-friendly station allows users to test and recharge batteries (around a third of those tested) and collect end-of-life batteries (those that are chemically depleted).
