Freebox, France’s leading Internet access provider
Freebox, a subsidiary of the iliad group, is in charge of all hardware supplies for Internet and mobile offerings. At Freebox, the boxes offered to Internet users are completely designed in-house, and always with state-of-the-art technology. Freebox also attaches great importance to the user experience (UX) in the design of its products. This applies not only to the aesthetics of the box itself, but also to on-board functionality and ergonomic navigation. Freebox offers are numerous and have coexisted over the years.
Since 2003, Altyor has been one of Freebox’s partners for the supply of Internet box casing components for refurbishing products in Europe. To this end, Altyor implements its offer, which consists in the complete delegation of the supply chain. Altyor manages nearly 25 subcontractors in Europe and around the world, delivering to a dozen production and recycling sites for Free’s internet boxes. Altyor independently adjusts and dispatches capacity to each plant, ensures the supply of materials and production schedules, delivers to the various plants on a weekly basis, and manages the tooling pool, from maintenance to the follow-up of life-cycle sheets, including their renewal.
Committed to an environmental approach with Freebox, Altyor has created a recycling loop by recovering the boxes, dismantling them and preparing the plastic for re-injection into new boxes.
