Graphics tablets

The tablet that reintroduces emotion to the digital world

The Slate and Repaper are graphics tablets that allow users to write or draw on their usual sheet of paper. A simple magnet in the pen is detected by the AMI tablet, which can then precisely track the pen and reproduce the drawing digitally in real time on a PC, mobile phone or tablet. Users can then edit or enhance their creation using their preferred software. The latest version of Repaper features a pressure-sensitive surface that enhances the precision of digital drawing, for example by adjusting line thickness. The product is therefore aimed at all budding creatives and drawing enthusiasts who wish to retain the feel of paper whilst creating their digital artwork.

Altyor has been a key partner of ISKN-AMI since the company’s inception. Indeed, in 2014, Altyor was chosen by AMI to develop and manufacture version 2 of its Slate product, and more recently, the latest version of the graphics tablet known as Repaper. Product innovations present a real industrial challenge every time: miniaturisation of components, particularly the creation of bespoke batteries, or the creation of an assembly line free from magnetic interference (the basis of Slate’s technology). “As an industrial manufacturer, flexibility, responsiveness and a ‘consumer-focused culture’ are three essential qualities for responding to AMI’s innovative ideas,” says Yanis Cottard, founder of Altyor.

AMI is now part of the BIC Group.
