The “Touché”: A connected musical instrument

Touché is a revolutionary musical instrument developed by the French company Expressive E, which allows the sound of a synthesiser to be modulated by the pressure of the hand. Touché paves the way for a new generation of instruments, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Altyor supported the client with the mechanical and electronic design and with the industrialisation process as part of a ScaleUp programme. The complexity of the project lay in mastering the various technologies involved in the product (hard plastic, wood, silicone, electronics) as well as undertaking significant industrial development work given the instrument’s sensitivity. The product is now in series production and has made a significant impact in the music world.
