CityTaps is a French start-up created in 2015 that seeks to optimise access to water for poor developing populations. The product is a connected and prepaid smart water meter that allows the end customer to pre-pay his consumption via mobile.
With these payment solutions, which are widely used on the African continent, the consumer pays the amount of water according to his or her means and does not risk being hit with a high bill at the end of the month.
