CityTaps, access to running water for all citizens
CityTaps is a French start-up founded in 2015 that seeks to optimize access to water for the poorest populations in the developing world. The product is a connected water meter that enables end customers to prepay their consumption via cell phone. With these payment solutions, widely used on the African continent, consumers pay for the quantity of water they can afford.
Altyor was the CityTaps partner for the mechanical design, mechanical and electronic industrialization, and production. The challenges for this product are numerous : LoRa radio coverage in underdeveloped areas, outdoor environmental constraints, product autonomy and the need for simple installation and after-sales service.
