The Orléans Masters Badminton is a BWF Tour super 100 tournament organized in Orléans by CLTO Badminton Event with the support of the French Badminton Federation. It takes place over six days of competition and brings together nearly 200 players. All categories are represented (Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles). The tournament brings together the best players in the world from the top 10.
In 2021, the tournament prize money was $90,000.
What is the tournament’s place on the world stage?
The Orléans Masters Badminton has been a BWF Super 100 qualifying tournament for the Olympics Games since 2012. It is the sixth most important tournament worldwide,
after the Olympics, the World Championships, the BWF World Tour finals and tournaments with higher prize money. In France, to see high level matches, you have to see the French Open which takes place every year in Paris and the Orléans Masters in Orléans.
How is Altyor involved?
Altyor has been a partner of the tournament since 2014. The founder of the Altyor group (André Cottard) and its CEO, Yanis Cottard, are both badminton fans. André founded the Marcilly-en-Villette club and even installed two badminton courts at the Altyor site in Saint-Cyr-en-Val.
Every year, Altyor invites its employees, customers and partners to the Orléans Masters to discover this little-known sport. Every year, Altyor mixed doubles teams compete in the partners’ tournament.
