DIAL by Ido-data and carried by the SNSM, the life-saving GPS bracelet
IDO-DATA designs alert solutions, with the aim of preventing risks and reinforcing security. IDO-DATA has developed skills in these 3 areas in particular
- exploitation of geolocation data
- exploitation of cardiac data
- exploitation of movement analysis data
The DIAL bracelet created by the Ido-data start-up is a geolocation/alerting device, consisting of a beacon inserted into a waterproof silicone bracelet. A pressure on the bracelet allows to warn in case of difficulty. The product is particularly well suited to marine sports activities and is worn by the SNSM, the French lifeguard association.
The electronic and mechanical design was carried out by Altyor. The mechanics were based on a design by Starck. Altyor was also chosen for the industrialisation and production of the bracelet and beacon. Many technical challenges surround this innovation, such as miniaturisation vs. radio performance, autonomy or robustness in an outdoor and saline environment; not forgetting the user experience at the heart of this project for ergonomic alerting in an urgent and complex situation.
